Hi people! On the 13th and 14th of this month, there was an incredible conference in my Faculty, called UPMUN, Universidade do Porto Model of United Nations.
It was the greatest experience for anyone who's interested in the area of diplomacy. Each person had to represent a country and defend its position towards the following topics: The Millennium goals, and the Situation in Magreb, Mashriq and Middle East countries.

I was the delegate of Australia, which is in favour of NATO's action in these countries, by the way.

We also got to know the diplomat of Egypt Handi Loza, an activist coordenator of Amnesty International Daniel Oliveira, Sandra from Calouste Gulbenkian fundation, the consul of Jordania, a great teacher Manuel Loft, Ângelo Correia founder of PPD party and friend of Franscisco Sá-Carneiro, José Carlos dos Santos and the French embassador Aude Amorim.

I also loved the coffee breaks that the organizers of the event (students from the 2nd year) provided us ; ) The dinner in 'Pau de Canela' restaurant was good to relax from the formal atmosphere.

The debates made between us, students, were seriously great. It was good to show-off some of the best qualities we have in our faculty: people who have an eloquent speech, and can discuss at the same time.

I've made friends, I've received my certificate.
Next year I'm in UPMUN again for sure!

P.S. The research for this event was really hard, I worked a LOT, but it was worth it. There was even some tears, during my researchs, this event makes you grow-up, because it makes you speak in front of lots of people and sometimes the topics of research can be really heavy. I've learned a LOT.
I even discovered some new organizations to take action on. I'll post them here later.
